Welcome to our RenderStorm RenderSource help page where you can get basic information and links on our new RenderSource services. Lets get started!
First of all you will need to register for an account. You can do this here:
After you register, you will receive a call from our customer service department. We will discuss your project needs and requirements. After we have an agreement for the rendering services, you will receive an email with instructions and login information on what you will need to do next.
2. Download - Our FTP File Transfer Software or Google Team Drive!
You can FTP the files to us, install our Google Team Drive service (Contact us for more info on Google Team Drive) or send us a harddrive with your job. If you decide to upload, please download our FTP software below.
The RenderStorm FTP File Transfer Software uses UDP transfer protocol and is much faster than normal FTP/TCP connections. It features Highly secure 256-bit AES data encryption and will maximize your bandwidth when uploading/downloading to the RenderStorm Farm.
If you decide to use another FTP software like Filezilla, you will disable the UDP transfer protocol and default to TCP transfer protocol.
Our FTP Software requires the following firewall ports to be open: TCP 30303-30304 and UDP 5001-5009. Please ensure that these ports are open on both your local system and your corporate firewall/router.
3. Upload your Project
Now you can upload your project to the farm. Login to your FTP account and upload. After your upload is completed, RenderStorm will begin the render.
When the render job is completed, your frames or output will be found in your output directory and you can use our FTP software to download the finished project. If your frame output is too large to download, RenderStorm will save the job to a USB3 external harddrive and send to your location.
